Understand Your Risk Score
CanAssist Breast predicts breast cancer recurrence for hormone receptor-positive
patients in stages one and two by using a machine learning-based algorithm that
incorporates data from each patient’s tumor biology as well as clinicopathological
data (i.e., tumor size, tumor grade, and node status) to arrive at a comprehensive
CanAssist Breast risk score.
CanAssist Breast risk score ranges from 0 -100. A risk score cut off of 15.5 is used
to classify patients as low-risk (score 15.5) for distant recurrence. The maximum
probability of distant recurrence for low-risk patients for five years is 9% which
means that you have less than a 1 in 10 chances of distant cancer recurrence.
